- We Identify Issues Early
During Preconstruction activities, the backbone schedule can be completed at Schematics to identify unusually long lead time items such as Electrical Switch Gear. We can then place the delivery duration in the schedule to see the impact on Project Completion.
The key here is to work with the Owner to provide assistance to identify early costs and have those “Hot” items released prior to construction.
Switch Gear is used here as an example, but we are seeing long lead times in Drywall, certain industrial Paint, Metal Studs, Specialty Windows and Glass, Certain Roofing types, lighting/ generators and even Reinforced Concrete Pipe for sitework.
As you check our references and clients, they will all tell you we are on top of these issues.
- We Don't Let Project Issues Linger
Our team quickly identifies issues whether they are cost or schedule related.
We will attempt to solve the issue at the lowest level prior to bringing it to the Owner to take action.
We will take a firm hand in preconstruction activities and be the team leader for the owner.
We will not hesitate to call meetings when needed to solve ongoing issues.
Lastly, in order to bring the team together united around a mutual goal, we suggest a formal Partnering relationship be set up prior to the project start. We can provide or recommend a Partnering Consultant or we are qualified to do it ourselves.
